  7.                         NEW FEATURES IN ABC FUN KEYS VER. 4.0

  11.           A great deal of changes and work have gone into the upgrade from
  12.           ABC FUN KEYS Version 3.0 to 4.0.  Although by itself unimportant,
  13.           the program was completely revised to use Borland's Turbo C 2.0. 
  14.           This change facilitated a host of powerful new features like
  15.           monochrome monitor support and full screen graphics.  Many other
  16.           screen functions including windows are from Mike Smedley's
  17.           excellent shareware "CXL Extended Function Library".  New
  18.           features in ABC FUN KEYS include:

  20.             *  Support for monochrome monitors using the Hercules graphics
  21.                standard.  (This required a lot of code.)
  22.  
  23.             *  Addition of Game 2 -- Guess Quick.
  24.  
  25.             *  Addition of Game 3 -- Heaven & Mud.  (More code.)
  26.  
  27.             *  The addition of the Children's Picture Menu to the game
  28.                opening.
  29.  
  30.             *  The addition of command line control parameters.
  31.  
  32.             *  The addition of game configuration files to save letter and
  33.                feature selections.
  34.  
  35.             *  The addition of lower case letters in the alphabet picture
  36.                files.
  37.  
  38.             *  A greatly improved Picture Selection & Control Menu.
  39.  
  40.             *  A help screen for the Picture Selection & Control Menu.
  41.  
  42.             *  The ability to synchronize the nursery rhyme songs to the
  43.                pictures.
  44.  
  45.             *  Improved picture compression technique so the program takes
  46.                up less space on disk.
  47.  
  48.             *  Use of a single file for nursery rhyme songs to cut down on
  49.                wasted cluster space on disk.  (I really had to push hard to
  50.                get this program to fit on a single diskette!)

  54.           their ideas which you see incorporated above.  I sincerely
  55.           welcome any suggestions you may have that will make this program
  56.           more enjoyable for little children.
